Love And Affection Makes Archie Happy

Archie is such a sweet and loving baby boy! All he needs to be happy is some love and affection with the occasional treat thrown in and he’s absolutely great. Like “Tony the tiger”. GRREAT!! Archis is finally just now starting to play a little bit with one of the other pups. When Bella comes around he’ll pop up and start dancing in a circle with her and makes snorting and grunting noises with his mouth wide open. It’s so cute and funny watch! Training is going great. He will do all his commands for a single treat. Archie is leash trained, but believes it’s optional. If he wants to go in a different direction than you want to go, he actually leans sideways to convince you to go a different direction.

"Say Your Prayers"

Archie has had a good week! He’s doing well in training. He knows all of his basic commands and they started working on “say your prayers.” Archie does great being around the other dogs. He’s been stepped on and growled at, but he doesn’t do anything but lift his head to see who’s doing it. He likes his kennel, the hallway and the tv/training room. His favorite is the hallway, which makes sense because he’s incredibly nosy. His leash management still needs work, but it’s so much better from when he arrived. Archie really is a good boy!

Calm Boy

Archie’s training is going well. He worked with two other primaries this past week and went through all of his commands with no issues. He gets a treat after 2-3 commands instead of after each one. Archie’s stay is perfect in the training room and about 95% on the hallway and he is getting better every day.

Archie’s trainer said he played with Gizmo and Boots in the training room this week. He got a smidge excited, if you want to call it that with Gizmo - he gave us a tail wag! When Boots was added to the mix he gave his trainer a look of long-suffering agony and then plopped down on a bed in the corner to watch the shenanigans of the girls in the room. Archie did watch very closely for about 3 minutes before he began to fall asleep.

"Show Me Love"

Archie is doing well with his commands during training. Right now he gets a treat every 2 - 3 commands and they will eventually get to doing all of them for 1 treat at the end. His trainer has no doubt about it considering he’s so food motivated. He knows all his basic commands and quite a list of extas. Catch, lift, off, show me love and shake to name a few. He is a smart, laid back boy.

Archie does not care for toys much even though he is able to catch them when he wants to. If he picks one up he might play with it for a minute or so and then he’s done. He does like to chew/lick on a hard plastic teething ring. Archie is a great dog. He loves all the attention and affection he can get.

Archie Loves Affection

Archie has had a pretty good week. For the most part Archie is aloof. He really doesn’t get too excited about anything except food. So far his toy playing is at a minimum. He might play with something for a minute or two then he acts like he can’t be bothered and quits. Archie loves affection. He will stand by you and let you love on him for as long as you want with no complaints. Training is going great. He knows all his basic commands and some extras. He does need to improve on “stay.” Archie is doing so well for week three and his trainer is very proud of him.

TV Watcher

Archie has had a pretty busy week. He enjoys spending time in the tv room on one of the big beds. He seems to enjoy watching tv too. Archie isn’t real big on toys yet. He will catch one and be done with it 30 seconds later. Training is coming along nicely. Archie is very treat motivated. He is having a hard time with heel, but he’s slowly getting better. Archie definitely has a food addiction. He wants all of it - his and yours. He is becoming very acquainted with “leave it”.

Treats Are The Bomb

Archie has completed his first week with his trainers. They have learned a lot about each other. He is very treat motivated, so training should be pretty easy. Archie can be stubborn, but his trainer said she can be more stubborn than he is. LOL Archie was a puller when he arrived, but it doing quite a bit better in only a week. His trainer is looking forward to the week’s ahead with Archie.
